wiper/cruise conrtol/turn signal arm wiring
I have a 83 olds, wiper switch/cruise control/turn signal arm, olds has 3 wires , blue, black, brown. I found a replacement arm out of a cadillac which is pretty much the exact one from the olds. The one i got out of the caddy has 4 wires, red, yellow, blue, green. Can i wire that one upto the olds colors? Any info would be great.

Your car uses a mechanical regulator, thus the 3 wires. The one you got from the Cad is from an electronic regulator.
I have a schematic for the electronic one but not the mechanical one so i cannot compare.
On the electronic unit, BLUE goes to switched 12V. GRN sends 12V to electronic module to tell it to turn on. RED sends 12V when the SET switch is pushed. YEL sends 12V when the R/A switch is pushed.
Let's see if anyone has a schematic for the '81-'84 series...
