Where to hide a 6530 MSD Box in a 72 442 with A/C

Hey Guys,

I'm about to hit the garage and wire up the 6530 MSD box. Any suggestions where to hide it? I will still need access to plug into the computer.

Any tach issues I should anticipate. The directions say to hook it up to the gray wire.

Any recommendations, suggestions, comments would be appreciated.

Is there room under the dash near the center of the firewall? Can't visualize that area but realize there is not a lot of room because of AC. Otherwise, on the outside of the firewall just about any place you choose will be noticed except maybe below the AC hump between the inner and outer fenders, that would be a tight place for sure.

I'm thinking I want to keep it inside if I can.

Has anyone used the stock tach hooked to the gray wire? Did it work or do I need the adapter?

i've put a few 6AL's on the firewall behind the fender.just remove the inner fender to get to it .it will be out of the elements and you won't see it unless you really look for it.

I have mine mounted to the radiator support, opposite where the battery goes. Been there for 16 years with no problems. I did have to slightly lengthen the wires leading to the pick-up coil and ignition coil.
