what resistance is this wire,

what resistance is this wire,

I hooked it up to my voltage regulator but could not get a solid read. it is the ignition coil resistor wire.

They are usually about 1.3-1.6 ohms.

Check it with a digital multimeter. a tool that should be in every toolbox nowadays.

Yeah, but at least it was accompanied by a photo of a generic black wire, so that clarifies it...

Seriously, what exactly are we talking about here? Is this the resistance wire to the coil? I assume by "voltage regulator" you meant volt-ohm meter? What scale were you measuring on? As noted, the resistance is pretty low, so hopefully your meter has a scale that's appropriate.

It looks like a black wire to me, the ignition coil resister wire is a white fabric covered type wire.
