Turn Signal Switch problem

After I installed the TSS and put the column back together, the last thing I did was screw in the flasher ****. I tried the flasher out a couple of times and on the second try the **** pulled out. Tried to srew back in but it was stripped. Called Fusick and they sent me a new one. When I examined the new one I found the srew hole to be slightly larger than the original and its not threaded. So the hole is bigger with no threads, is this normal, has anybody else had a problem like this?
Thanks, Rob
