Tail light sockets-71 442

71 442-Finally got the old bulbs out of the rear tail light housings. Of course the spring contacts are stuck. Have soaked with everything. Can't seem to get the "spring" back for installation of new bulbs. Any suggestions out there. The socket was a one way trip when originally installed and didn't know if anyone makes a replacement-of course then there's the wires.
Thanks in advance for everyones' help.

Had the same problem with mine. Bought a socket repair that I THINK will work. Didn't get to the point of actually using it because I took one last try with the penetrating lube and needlenose pliers and it freed up. Google "5421c socket" and see if you think it would work for you. Could probably find it at a local parts store.
