Signs of bad turn signal switch?

Been working on my car 65 Jetstar Convertible and only the left side indicator light in the speedo cluster comes on, not the right side, plus I cannot hear it ticking. I changed the bulb and this has no effect. Also the right front turn light does not work while the right rear works it is rather slow. I have checked the connectors and bulbs all look great?

Not sure if this is just a cam replacement or complete replacement, or something else I should check?

Thanks!

Sounds like your signal stat is no good. Look around your fuse box, there will be 2 of them if you have 4 ways. Remove and replace the one for your turn signals!

If you are referring to the flasher that is on the clip that is supposed to be on the bottom of the dash, I already replaced that, that is why I am thinking the turn signal in the steering column.

You changed the flasher unit under the dash and it still does not work??? Ok, lets start over, you've checked all the lamps, left and right, front and back, what happens when you select the left side?

I was having problems with brake lights and turns so I changed the brake light switch, flasher switch and the two upper tail light sockets, one of the sockets I know was bad. Now I have brake lights and rear turns although the right is slow but no front. Nomatter what I do I don't have the right dash turn, the left is good.

Thanks for your problem solving help.

Can you get into the sockets with a meter and see if you have voltage, as sometimes the bulb still does not make contact with the socket ends. Also double check your grounds! If you are functioning in the rear, I would believe your switch is ok!
