Rear turn signal

Hello! To make my ´66 f85 street legal I have to install extra turn signals in orange, what I did. It is also not allowed that the rear light is flashing too!

- How can I deactivate the rear turn signals without deacticate the rear lights?
- Are both rear brake lights lightnig when I push the brake?

I studied the wiring diagram, but it make no sense to me.

Thank you very much for for answers

This was brought up in another euro post a couple months ago. I think the trick was to isolate the turns from the column connector where they were dedicated (L/R) to each orange lamp. The brake switch was then tapped to light the rear lamps (bright filament) without turn flashing. The rear, "running" (dim filament) lights remained the same.

Using a volt-meter or test light can help you make sure your tapping the right column points. You may need to run new wires front to rear to accommodate the additional sends. Tapping and reusing the existing wires at the rear will not work for all that's needed. You have to prevent the oranges from lighting up when the brake is depressed. Therefore all need to be isolated.

Pull out the rear turn signal cables from the turn signal connector and connect the front turn signals with the "new" rear turn signals. What do you mean with "tapping the right column points" and "tapped to light the rear lamps"?

Thank you

1. To have the rear red brake lights BOTH light and not flash, you must find the wires for these at the signal switch or connector and remove/ cut from switch.
2. You must also find wire from brake switch to signal switch/conector and remove or cut.
Then connect wire from brake switch to the wires that ran to both left and right rear lights. (the ones you removed in 1 above)
Then connect your rear amber lights to the wires that run to your front turn signal lights, left to left, right to right

Tapping was meant to mean "splicing" on to the point of origin such as the column area from the signal selector. Or as m371961 suggests, the wiring to the front turn lamps where a "Y" connection or true tap would be performed.

I tried to find that old post to paste in here. It is the same guy!! What happened??
