Rear Lights not Working

Question Rear Lights not Working

My rear lights will not work the running ones or the brake lights turn signals etc. but my front lights work turn signal and all but when I change the rear fuse it continue to blow. What should I do to fix.

sounds like a wiring problem. my cutlass had same problems until i got under the steering column and fixed up some worn wires in the large wiring harness under there. if it is the fuses, you may have a crossover or some other kind short somewhere.

Start by unpluging the rear harness in trunk area LH side replace fuse ,If it dosen't blow then start checking all rear bulbs & sockets.If you have any trailer wiring disconnect it Ps you diddn't say type & year Olds

Also check the ground wire in the trunk. It will be at the left hand side, near the left tailight. Usually under the carpet. Let us know what you find.

must be the season.. my 63 just lost the brake lights... worked fine the oter day, now nothing. Power is at the fuse, thru the fuse, but nothing at the switch. OY!
