Neutral Switch location 2001 Aurora 4.0

I have a 2001 4.0 Aurora and intermitently it will not turn over. After trying to jump start it - which did no good - (showed 14+ volts at the time), I moved the shifter several times and on it's own it turned right over. I swear it did not start in neutral but hopefully I am wrong on that part. Anyway, last night my wife got stranded and I had her put it into Drive and then into neutral and it started. No problems since, even in Park. Question: where is the neutral switch on this car and is it easy to change? Next - what do you guys think? Am I on track with this, or do you have other suggestions. Have reviewed an earlier post about a '96 and this sounds similar. Many thanks for your responses.

PS - What are we going to do for replacement cars in the future? I love this car!!

My guess would be in the console. I'm not sure what type of job it is in that car, but my Dad's 97 Olds LSS was no picnic. That's where his was. Call a dealer service depatment if you don't get a definate response here. That's what I did. Best of luck.
