Rallye Pack Temp Gauge

Installed a temp/oil/fuel Rallye gauge and seem to have a high temp indicator in my 69.
Engine is running at 190-200 but the gauge is reading above 3/4.
Could be 50 or 90 degrees out, but the gauge reads this way.
Has anyone run across this before?
Do these gauges require a different sender in the intake?

I don't mean the difference between a switch for an idiot light and a sender to be clear.
Well I've tried several with the same results and ohm readings correspond to temp but the gauge is still reading high.
Is there a specific part number for use with these particular gauges is the better question?

Is it NOS or a repop? That may just be how it's calibrated.

Back of the gauge is pretty well buried at this point.
But can anybody say if this is OEM or not?
Seen some with resistors on the back, but this one did not and used the same multi pin connection.

The rally pac gauges on my '69 are original and the temp gauge has always read low on mine - just up to the first mark from low. On the other hand, the temp gauge on my '68 always goes to just below the middle mark. Don't know why - and everything has always operated normally on both cars.

My 85 Monte SS has always read low too, and its a numbered gauge indicating about 120 degrees.
Infared shows 190-200 at stat crossover.
I'd have this calibrated if I knew where to send it.
