Quality vintage-looking tach?

Does anyone make a quality tach that looks vintage? I want one for my '67 442, but everything seems like it's a Chinese made POS. Even Autometer gets bad reviews. Any thoughts?

Do you want vintage OEM or vintage era aftermarket?

If you want a quality, vintage looking tach, get a used vintage tach.

Bosch bought out Sunpro a few years back but still manufacture the Retro and Supertach types.

I have an AutoMeter tachometer that I used on my 64 98. It works great. I also have an AutoMeter pyrometer and coolant temperature sensor in my Bullnose truck. They're the best in the business. The only problem is that they aren't OE style.

If you’re feeling OEM about it, or at least old Olds about it, look into the tachs they used in 64-66 Starfires. You might like the design. Easy to find on EBay.

The only problems are that they’re fairly long/large and the plastic pin that at the center of the clear lens has often been broken off by a previous owner.

Well, those problems and they’re off by a hundred or 200 rpm over their operating range.

Cheers
Chris
