power windows

hi, I've got a '67 98 and the power windows are acting up. sometimes the windows won't work. Don't think it's the switches. Is there a relay somewhere that could be going bad? Thanks for any info, ken

i don't think i can help with the problem but if you find you need something i may have it. that is if power window parts from a 66 will work on a 67.

Check the wires that flex when you open the LF door - usually the biggest trouble spot - I've seen the plastic on the wires crack, and the wire itsef, too!
Pull back the rubber boot for inspection.

I agree with Rickman48 about the wiring.
One more thing you might check: are the window units gummed up? With a car that old, the grease on the power window winder might be restricting or preventing movement in all but very hot weather. Just a thought....

Thanks to both Rickman48 and Allen R. It was the wiring going in to the door.

Now - how do you plan on repairing it?
Used pieces are going to be as brittle, being 44 years old.
