Parking lamp socket swap

Both of my parking lamp housings are fine but the light bulb sockets are crap. Where can I just buy the light bulb socket? Is there a good way to remove the old ones ?

Dorman makes some

Rock auto shows a lot of bulb sockets available for my ‘77. You can get the part number there and shop a local parts store. For little parts like that I like to see them in person. It may cost $3 more but you can make sure it’s the right one.

Those sockets are swaged into the housings. They don't come out without a die grinder. Retrofitting a new socket requires custom cutting and fitting.

Should you decide to work on your sockets here are a couple of videos on the subject. Happy Motoring!

As per Joe; and, that is exactly what I did. Removing/Replacing the sockets is honestly "no big deal" - quite simple honestly. Get your head around it, understand the socket you're using to replace the original, ensure you have solid metal-to-metal contact. Not such a hard job.
