NO 12volts to Compressor! :-(

I checked my 25amp fuse under the driver's dash in my 86 Buick Regal, changed out Blowermotor, Blowermotor resistor , A/C Relay, and Blower Relay, and even tried jump the pressure switch across the connector contacts and still NO LUCK.... I the only way I was able to get the compressor on was to jump it from the battery... I know my A/C compressor clutch is good now, BUT why wont it get 12volts?

Did you jump the switch in the control panel? It should be on in any AC mode or defrost.

If like the Olds Cutlass, there is a relay run by the computer to enable the compressor. Jump the contacts and see what happens.

There possibly maybe a switch on your throttle linkage for WOT, that maybe faulty.

There is a low pressure switch on the accumulator and possibly a switch on the back of the rotory compressor. Try jumpering both.

I know my car has a Computer, it was hooked up when I had an 307 in it...do you think that might be the issue? I spent to days trying to figure this out... and it just keeps on getting hotter outside.

The computer enabling relay I think in on the lower evap case. You will need a wiring diag to know what pins to short across. Actually, you need it to know exactly where and how to trace that 12V line.

Also, if you have a SES light on, the computer may not enable the AC.

Need to know which motor is in your car the 3.8 turbo and the 5.0 have a cutout relay. The 3.8 2bbl is a straight thru the pressure switch to the compressor.

There's the problem...

The coil of the A/C enable relay will need to be connected to order for the AC to work. I would need to look at the Olds manual at home to give you a guess at how to bypass that relay (thats IF the Olds relay is wired the same a Buick).

Is there a relay near the compressor MITCHELL says its behind the compressor below electronic a/c control module Im assuming you jumped power to the compressor to make it run

The light green should have power on them when the a/c is turned on If they do you can bypass the relay by connecting them to the light green-black tracer eliminating the cutout relay. If no power on the light green check the a/c fuse no.25 unless it was a high output motor then it passes thru a a/c cutout switch.

my 25amp fuse is good.... when i pulled it out the a/c, heat wont even work.... the green wire I guess that the one I traced fromn the compressor is not getting 12volts...It plugs into another green wire that runs to the A/C which I replaced..

the power comes directly from the switch assy in the dash that would be the next place to look that is where the light green wire goes Fuse 25 powers the switch assy in the dash.
