Need help with radio speaker wiring

I am putting the interior of my 73 Cutlass Supreme back together, I did not take it apart, and need information about the wiring for the radio speakers. The previous owner hacked up the factory wiring and I am trying to replace it with correct wires and connectors.
The car has a factory AM radio with dual front speakers and had the option for a single rear speaker. Front wiring is workable, but the rear is gone. I have found a factory rear 6x9 speaker and bracket. There is a remnant of a single blue wire in the loom under the carpet. The speaker has 2 contacts for the wiring connection, but there was only a single blue wire in the loom!? And the radio has a connection for 3 wires for rear speaker(s).
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I have the original window sticker and want the car to match the info on the sticker. I am a bit OCD with stuff like that!!

The blue wire goes to speaker + and the speaker - is connected to chassis ground.

I would say the speaker you have for a '78-newer car. One thing you can do with it is run the blue wire to the positive side of the speaker and the make a short patch wire/cord the goes from the negative side of the speaker to a ground. That ground could be where the rear speaker mounts to the underneath of the package tray.
