I bought a new Kenwood radio and it has two wires I am having an issue with. One wire goes to battery and one goes to ignition. Can somebody tell me what color wire in the dash wiring the ignition wire would go to? Can somebody tell me what color wire inder the dash the battery wire would go to? there is the original Radio wire and I do not know if that is ignition or battery. I am pretty sure it is Ignition because the radio turned on with the key. That would leave me with what color wire the battery wire on the radio would hook up to.

Given your code name, i assume you have a '72.
If so, then battery (constant 12V) is a big orange wire going to clock, lighter, and courtesy lights.
Switched 12V ("ignition") would be yellow, the wire that went to the original radio.
