Need help with horn wire

Hi I need again help.

My horn on my 1972 Cutlass Supreme is not working.

Where is the cable for the horn at the steering column mounted and if possible does someone know which colors it has.

If someone knows, please give me advice where to find

And which colour has the cable in the engine bay to the horn.

Many thanks Jörg from Germany

The wire that runs from the horn button in the column to the horn relay is black. This wire is the ground side of the relay circuit. Once grounded through the steering wheel horn switch the horn relay energizes and supplies 12v to the horns.

There is a connector at the base of the column that it runs through.

No, that is the neutral safety switch, the connector you are looking for has up to 12 wires in it.

See if there is a ground strap at the rag joint coupling between the column shaft and steering box.
