Front Running lights not on and signal lights on dash on solid
So I have a 71 Cutlass S
as soon as I turn running lights on both green signal lights stay on solid on dash
Rear running lights work.
no front
same scenario with headlights on
normal headlights and brights work
floor switch works
with headlights off all signal lights work front and back. Thanks In advance

Has the car been rewired recently? This was just covered on another post last week I think. Look at the brightness of the front running lights versus the turn signal brightness. If the running lights appear brighter then you have the running light and turn signal circuits crossed. the reason you can't see the turn signals is because the the filaments are different wattage. Therefore If you turn on the running lights and it is powering up the turn signal filaments, you won't be able to see the lower wattage running light filaments when the turn signals are on. we had something similar happen at our shop. we bought a bunch of peterbilt tail lights that were wired wrong from the factory. when we installed the first set the same thig happened. when we took off the lens and looked at it the brake filament was lit with the running light circuit, the turn signals were working but you couldn't see them because the other filament is so much brighter. Not saying that is what you are dealing with but it is worth a look. hope this all makes sense. I'm sure someone else will chime in .
