Hey all,
Since the pandemic has gotten us all on pause from cruze-ins and car shows, I'm tackling various projects on my "to do" list that I've been putting off.
Two of those projects are getting the seat belt buzzer and ignition key buzzer to work on my '72 Supreme. They haven't worked since I bought the car two years ago, so it's time to get to work.
I was going to start with the obvious and check the relay, but I dunno if the picture I have attached is it, and is it for both the seat belt and the key buzzer? Also, how do I bench test it to see if it works? This is on the driver side firewall just underneath the cowl tag.
Finally, if the pic isn't of the relay in question, where is it?
Well, I don't know about the seat belt buzzer, as my 71 doesn't have it, but the key in buzzer is the horn relay which is on the left fender and has all the wires from the positive terminal on top.
if its a supreme the horn relay is in the middle of the firewall just above the distributor, I believe there are two plugs that go into the bottom of it , check to see if they are plugged in, usually everyone unplugs it there, Tim
My horn relay is in the center of the firewall and all of the wires are connected. The relay is good cuz my horn works. Not really worried about the seat belt buzzer right now, but would like to look into the key buzzer. Do I have to dig into the steering column? If so, then I'll leave it alone.
And if the pic isn't the key buzzer relay, then what is it?
