Does anybody have or know where I can obtain a wiring diagram for a 69 442 with power options. Thanks, Rob

Check the 1969 Oldsmobile Shop Manual. It should have the answers your looking for. Tom

A chassis service manual or assembly manual has a lot of this info. What are you trying to figure out?

As noted the CSM has the basic wiring diagram. With three 69s, you DO have a CSM, don't you?????

Unfortunately, the wiring for the power options will be scattered among the various chapters of the CSM or the Fisher Body Manual. The Rally Pack info is in the CSM, but power windows and seats are in the Body Manual.

I just got my car back from an unfinished resto and Im going to attempt to figure out the wiring. The new fuse box, engine bay, front light and main harnesses are in but nothing is pluged in. I do not have any manuals yet. Is a CSM the same as the Fisher body manual that fusick sells. Thanks

No, the chassis service manual is a different book than the body manual and is not reproduced. You can find these used from different literature or manual vendors. And if you do not have a 69 Cutlass assembly manual, buy one of those from one of the vendors as it will provide you will a lot of good information regarding wire routing, placement, clip locations etc as well as most everything else related to building that car. The conv top is not in this assembly manual but is covered in some detail in the Fisher body manual.

The Chassis Service Manual and the Fisher Body Service Manual are two separate manuals. It's definitely advisable to have both, as Joe P. says, so you can correctly route the wiring for all of your options. The '69 Chassis Service Manual has an off-white cover and the '69 Fisher Body Service Manual has a blue cover. The Chassis Service Manual is organized much the same as the '69 Cutlass/4-4-2 Assembly Manual (i.e., the sections in the CSM correspond to the sections in the assembly manual). You'll find a detailed color wiring schematic for your car on page 12-2 of the CSM and a black-and-white schematic if you have the rally pack option on page 15-31 of the CSM. As a novice, I had a heck of a time reading these things at first but, over time, I got to understand them more and more.

This is from the Chassis Service Manual. This is difficult to read & if you're not a member over at www.wildaboutcars.com you may not be able to see it. Right now I think it's free to join. A Body V8 is on page 2.

The complete Chassis Service Manuals for a number of years are posted there. As far as I know they have not posted the Fisher Body Manuals yet. As everyone else has said, if you're putting together a car the Assmbly Manual, Chassis Service Manual, and Fisher Body Manual are a must. The Fisher Body manual doesn't have much but the sections on convertible tops and door window installation make it worth having.

Oh for goodness sake.

This seems to come up much more often than I would expect.
Personally, I keep a supply of old Motor and Chilton manuals just in case I should end up with another car unexpectedly, and I buy a factory manual immediately for any car as soon as the car is in my hands. The manual for my '73 Olds was $8.00 on eBay, but I watched and waited for about a week before buying it.
Here is a search for 1969 Olds CSM - it shows only one today, for $47 (which I believe is overpriced for its condition), but there will be others, and literature dealers have tons of them.

Should you be caught without a manual (such as when visiting friends), you can probably find one online here, and the section with the wiring diagram you need is here.

As has been mentioned, the basic wiring diagram doesn't show the wiring for all options (though it does show some), so you really need both this and the Fisher Body Manual to get the full picture.

While you haven't mentioned the power top wiring for your car, I will mention that this is only covered in the assembly manual, although a little hard to read in the manual I have. But it's there. I could not find any reference to that wiring in the CSM or the FBM. So as some have already mentioned, get all three books and they are all useful depending on what info you need.
