Headlights not turning on

1971 442. No headlights

All new wiring. 4 new T3 lights. New battery. Connections at dash switch are tight.
All marker lamps working. Taillights working. Left parking lamp working and flashes with turn signal. Right parking lamp continuous bright as turn signal but does not flash. Checked all connections in back of headlights… tight. Grounds clean and tight. Checked ground at firewall… tight. All fuses are good. Disconnected floor high beam switch. Cleaned plug contacts and checked switch continuity…working.
when headlamp switch is in full on position…dashboard high beam indicator stays continuously lit an does not change with floor switch. Unbolted fuse block to check for pinched wires…none.

Still no headlights, neither low or high beam. Any ideas?

The parking lamp and turn signal lamp circuits are completely independent from the headlight circuit. There is no fuse in the headlight circuit, just a self-resetting circuit breaker in the switch itself. That does sometimes go bad.

Start by verifying that the headlight bulbs are actually good. You can wire power and ground directly to them. Assuming they are good, disconnect the plug at the dimmer switch and apply 12V with a jumper to the green and brown wires in turn. If the headlights come on, everything to that point is good. Now turn the headlight switch on and check for power on the blue wire.

Sounds like you checked the connection between the front light harness grounds and the radiator support. Did you check that the radiator support itself is getting a good ground. If you do not have a ground wire running from the battery to the radiator support, the only ground it gets is where it is attached to the fenders which can be poor especially with freshly painted parts.

I ran both grounds from the headlights to the radiator support. Headlights now work.
Pass side parking lamp still continuous bright as turn signal but does not flash

That usually means a bad ground at the socket

Found the bad connection for the headlights. All four headlights now working correctly.

Hazard lights inop. Replaced flasher..no change. When I push in the hazard switch at the steering column, parking lights are on, passenger side front parking lamp bright as if turn signal but does not flash. Drivers side parking lamp normal and flashes with turn signals. Rear tail lights operate normal and flash with turn signal. All four side marker lamps working correctly. Checked for a bad ground at passenger side parking lamp..nothing found wrong. License plate lamp inop, replaced bulb, no change.
I’m stumped

Did you replace both flashers (the one on the fuse block and the one up under the dash)? For the license plate light, check for power at the connector inside the trunk with a test light.

The hazard flasher uses the same filaments as do the turn signals/brake lights. That switching is entirely within the turn signal switch.

Straightened out and tightened stop lamp switch at the brake pedal. Takes care of the constant brake lights. Now all of a sudden the 4 way flashers work. Checked all harness connections in the trunk. All work properly. Have 12v power at the license plate lamp socket and a good self ground. New bulb. Still doesn’t light? Checked plugs under the dash. Cleaned and checked connections, no bad ones.

Pass side parking lamp still bright as turn signal but does not flash. One drivers side rear tail light bulb dim versus other 3. Drivers side front parking lamp working properly. Oh and found out today, starter not cranking with key turn! Turned the key all the way to the starter switch…all that happens is the ‘gen’ light on the dash illuminates Battery is fully charged. Harness wires to starter solenoid are connected and tight, yellow to ignition terminal , purple to solenoid switch terminal. Then I checked the neutral safety switch at the column, all plugs and connections clean and tight. Switch cycles with ignition.

I’m about ready to set this car on fire 🔥

The brake circuit overrides the hazard flashers. The flasher switches power off and on. When the brake pedal switch is closed, it provides 12V to the same circuit all the time, keeping the lights on at all times.

I thought I read "all new wiring" something isn't right, like the turn and park wires are backwards on the bright parking light....
If they are, the flashing parking light filament will be hard to see.

Tomorrow I will check for 12v power at the starter solenoid and go from there

As you can see in the pics the passenger front parking lamp and drivers side rear taillight (1) are bright as if flashing but not while turn signal is on, this is when the headlight switch is on. I have checked every connection, every plug, every bulb, every possible spot for a bad ground…

For the starter circuit, I verified the correct connections at the starter solenoid, verified 12v at the ignition terminal when the key is on, used a jumper switch to verify the starter is cranking and has strong 12v. Tomorrow I’ll have the wifey turn the key on the ignition and check for 12v at the purple wire terminal

I am going to throw out a couple things.
1. Wires inserted into the connectors are reversed,
2. Bulbs could possibly be inserted 180 off.

What happens if you reverse the wire connections ?

It does appear the wrong filament is energized. They are dual filament bulbs ?

Starter could be neutral safety switch out of adjustment.
