headlights

putting my 67 cs back together after three years. why do I have a bulb on the passenger side with 2 prongs, with a two prong plug, and bulb with 3 prongs and a 3 prong plug on the driver side?

There should be one of each on both sides. The 3-prong plug is for the combination low/high beam lamp (outer lamp) and the 2-prong is for the inner lamp which is high beam only.
