Gauges

Just finished putting a 1967 Toronado 425 in my 1964 Cutlass. I would like to install volt, oil pressure, and water temp gauges. I would also like to keep the stock dash lights functional. There are no extra water ports in the intake manifold. Can any of you guys recommend gauges and/or adapters that will allow for continued use of the dash lights ? Will it be better to use electrical gauges as opposed to mechanical gauges? Thanks, John

Just take a part that fits in the hole properly (old sender, adapter from new sender, etc.) down to the hardware store and buy a brass Tee, nipple, etc. that will fit in the space available and put it all together with teflon tape.

Will that work for the water temp gauge also?

I believe that he meant the temp. gauge, but you can do it with both the temp. and oil pressure gauges. There are usually at least two plugs in the manifold where you can put a water temperature sender, though, so it's usually not an issue with temperature gauges.
