Angry Fan stopped working

Hello Experts,

Once again my Vent/ AC fan won't turn on. Is the only fuse to the fan on the fuse box?

I thought I remember there maybe a fuse under the hood with the AC that could of blown, but even when I turn on the vent fan (no AC) positions 1, 2 or 3, it will not come on.

Kind Regards,
Bill

The fuse under the hood is for high speed only.

Good luck!!!

You've checked the HEATER AC fuse in the fuse block? If it's blown nothing on HVAC will work.

Past that there's a master switch on the control head.

It's located behind the dash on the heat and AC control panel's slide bar. Turns the blower on in any position but OFF.

Before digging into it that far, unplug the purple wire from the blower motor at right rear of engine compartment underhood and clean both terminal and plug. Then run a jumper wire from blower motor terminal to the battery positive terminal. This will tell you if the blower motor is good. If it starts and runs, and you know the HEAT AC fuse is good, problem is between fuse block and blower motor. If not, and motor has a verified good ground, motor is bad. Replace it.

Will not hurt to unplug the blower resistor connector underhood and clean those terminals. Maybe even pull the resistor out and check its condition.

A-Body vehicles. Anyone's guess what Model you have. I'm not going to ask again.
