Extra wires

Extra wires
In my Autowire update kit, there are several wires that won't be used.
Some with connectors that branch off like the courtesy lights that are used in 69 but not 70.
I have Dakota gauges so the water temp and oil pressure gauge wires from the new harness won't be used.
1. Electric fan both sides of the firewall
2. water temp both sides of the firewall
3. Oil pressure both sides of the firewall
4. courtsey light
I'm thinking minimally Electric fan wiring should be kept.
Thoughts on how best to handle.

Tim:
You can use a small jewelers screwdriver to release the male pins in the firewall connectors and remove the un-needed wires. There is a slot cut into the terminal, just press in on the smaller side and pull the wires from the back side to remove. Here's a pic:

I wouldn't depin the connector. Route them to their respective locations- then cap them. Take a 1" piece of heat shrink that's just big enough to hold 2 wires, slide it over the end. Fold 1" of wire over, slide the tubing back up to cover the end, and heat.

x2 on not removing the pins from the connector. If you remove the pins just think how much a PITA it will be if you want to run electric fans in the future. That connector sits on the firewall under the brake MC, doesn't it?
