door switches

Any idea why my passenger door works the lights correctly but the drivers door only lights the dome? (2) white wires to the passenger door and (3) to the drivers (2) white (1) black.

Try spraying a little WD-40 or contact cleaner up in the switch, between the shell and the plunger pin. After these switches get some age on them, sometimes they'll get just enough crud on them that part of it won't make contact.

Worse to worse, disconnect the battery and unscrew the switch from the door jamb. You can then clean the contact surfaces good with it out of the car.

One of the wires on the DS is for the key warning buzzer. All the switch does is complete the ground path for the dome light by connecting the two white wires together.
