Door Courtesy Lamps 72 442

Anyone have info on replacing the door courtesy lamps? I can't see on the wiring diagram where they are. Does the door jam switch for the dome light also control them? Both sides are out on mine but the dome light is working. Does the plastic bezel on the light come off or does the door panel need to come off for bulb replacement?
Thanks,
Dan

There are no lights in the doors that I know of. The courtesy lights are under the dash in the foot wells if your car has that light package installed. There are reflectors on the bottom of the doors but no lights.

Scott that explains a lot. No wonder I could not find them on the wiring diagram. The lights under the dash in the foot wells are working. So no issue to solve.
Thanks,

Dan

No problem, Glad to help out. As part of that package, there should also be a glove box light, a map light, an ashtray light, a floodlight on either side of the column with blue lens, a light behind the 'LIGHTS' plaque above the headlight switch ... and maybe a light in the mirror...which was very useful back in the day! Just in case any of those may need a bulb.

Access door courtesy light bulb - 1979 Ninety Eight Regency

My door courtesy lamp issue involves my '79 Ninety-Eight Regency. The passenger side, rear door light is not working. I can't seem to find out how to remove the cover so as to replace the bulb. Any guidance on removing the cover plate to access the bulb is appreciated.
The philips-head screws behind the door handle are accessible, but don't appear to allow access to the light bulb side of the panel.

Many thanks, in advance.
