Comfortron HELP!
I have a 69 Olds 98 with comfortron. When I rotate the Temp dial on the controller, does anybody know if I should get a variable voltage to the transducer? If so, what is the voltage range from hot to cold? Also, transducer then modulates vacuum - can you tell me what psi range vacuum I should get at each end of the spectrum? Thanks Paul cm2chicago@aol.com

Paul,
Your post is the second one I have noticed today that I missed. Sorry for not welcoming you to CO so I am doing so now. I will move this thread to the appropriate forum and perhaps you will get a reply.

Paul, I posted an answer to your questions last night but it is not here now. I don't know if you saw it or not. If you still need the info, send me an e-mail.

You should see the voltage to the transducer vary between 0 VDC at full heat and 10 VDC at full cold. However, a 3 - 8 VDC is sill acceptable. Please make sure that your transducer is grounded - the 2 bolts to the firewall are usually its ground, but they get rusty, so I would connect a separate new lead from the body of the transducer to a good ground under the dashboard.
