As I continue to inventory my 66-67 Olds parts collection, in the dash parts, I noticed one of the printed circuit boards had a relay.
I'd read up on it, but my manuals are buried in a tote, under totes.
I don't see a relay on my rally pac dash circuit board.
Not sure if for speed minder, for I only see one wire on minder gauge I have.
I'm sure Ron Roth would know, if he's here on CO.
The fun continues. It's a slow process to inventory, but it's necessary to prep eventually for swap meets and trips to Homecoming Lansing and OCA Nationals in Dayton.
An interesting side discussion is options. U15 was the Speedminder. U21 was the rocket rallye pac. U35 was the clock in the idiot lights. The SPECS states this. 1961-1969 Cutlass F-85 4-4-2 - A Book of Information according to the defunct oldsmobility.com, mentioned a U22, Speedminder with Rallye Pac. SPECS says "U15: Safety Sentinel, N.A. with U21." Incidentally, U21 says "includes U35" which isn't exactly true, as it's a different clock, but close enough.
Point being, that is a buzzer that gets 12V and is grounded via a very tiny rotary switch on the speedminder needle. It would be not hard to relocate that buzzer to another source and location, and run both that way. Someday, I may do that.
Found several incomplete gauge pieces/parts - but not sure application. I does have a tach needle.
