Clock disassembly

Anyone know how to take the clock setting **** off so I can remove the bezel and service the clock on my tic toc tac (1968)? I assume that you turn it "backwards" and unscrew it or just pull. I'm also assuming that if I do the wrong one I may break it. Advice, please.

If it's like the 70 you just unscrew the ****. I just held the shaft with a pair of needle nose pliers and it came right off.

I thought that there was a tiny screw in the middle of the **** and you used a small screwdriver whilst you held the shaft with a pair of needle nosed pliers- meaning that there is going to be a very tiny screw missing in your future...
