Clock on dash cluster for rpm gauge

Clock on dash cluster for rpm gauge

i want to replace my clock on the dash cluster on my 1970 cutlass for a rpm gauge is this doable or any suggestions thanks

I did the same thing in my 71 cutlass. I used a Summit tach and the body shell from the clock. Took both apart and mounted the tach into the shell. Reassembled with original lens from tach into the dash pod. Worked well and looked good.

It was about 10 years ago. This one on Summit looks close.

Summit Racing® Tachometers SUM-G29105

The Usual wiring hook ups: Power, Ground, Light, Tach to Distr.

Very nice. Though a bit pricey, I also like the aftermarket tachometer sold by various Oldsmobile part suppliers that looks like the factory clock/tachometer without the clock.
