Yesterday I got in my delta went inside a place got back into the delta nothing. Replaced the alternator,# the plug for the alternator and battery was completely dead. Prior to this the charge light had been on. Now that I have Replaced these parts the charge light is still on.

 

What year Delta?

The replacement alternator could be defective. Have it checked at your local auto parts store. Once you verify the alternator condition, post the results.

 

Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running and the headlights on. It should be 13.8-14.2v.

 

When is the light on, running or with car off and key removed? Does the light go off if the alternator is unplugged? As Fun71 asked, what year?

As Eric suggested. Measure voltage at the battery, engine running.

 

Try unplugging the alternator, if the light goes out something is amiss inside the alternator. Do test the voltage as suggested.

 

Is the light on with key on and engine not running? If light is not on in this position, check fuses.
