Can someone with knowledge in early 80's Delta 88's give some guidance?
Hey guys. I'm in need of some direction. My 1982 Delta 88 has an AM/FM radio. However, it's driving me crazy, and i need something with a tape deck. Did any 1980-1985 Delta 88's come with cassette decks in their factory radios? Is the radio a direct swap? I want a cassette deck so i can play my own music with a cassette tape that has an aux cord hooked to it. I want my own music but i dont want to drill some big ugly radio into the wood just so i can have an aux hookup.
Any information would be appreciated, and I would be highly thankful to anyone who could point me in the direction of a Olds factory radio with a cassette deck that I could put in my Delta!

Double-shaft AM-FM-cassette radios were available for your Delta. It doesn't have to come from an Olds- by then all GM Divisions used pretty much the same radios, just ***** were different between carlines. You can count on replacing the tape drive belt if you plan to listen to cassettes at all, but the adapter thing should work OK even if the drive belt has broken.
Sometimes you'll find a radio that has different wiring plugs. I know Buick didn't switch over to the Olds-Pontiac-Chevy wiring till around 1981.
