Cable wiring fuel gauge

Hi all,

the preowner of my 72 CS conv removed the fuel tank and the components and installed instead a 100l cylinder LPG tank in the trunk.

I want to reverse that now, got tank, pipes, etc.
My gauge in the dash is far beyond the "hot" sign , I guess it´s due to the broken circuit.

In my understanding there must be a cable from the gauge somewhere through the body to the fuel sendung unit, fuel sending unit to GND.

Could someone tell me the colour of the cable gauge --> fuel sending unit and where to find it normally in the trunk ?

As there is the big cylinder installed I see a lot of cables coming from the front but most of them seem to be related to the lpg system and/or the lights.

Thanks in advance,

Marc

You are looking for a light brown or tan colored wire.

It comes in from the front on the left side, in the harness, and separates and goes through a hole in the body roughly above the license plate.
