Blinkers on dash inop ?

So driving home last night I noticed my turn signals didnt flash on the speedometer, but the flasher was clicking , and outside lights were working correctly? I thought possibly a loose connection on speedo may cause this but wanted to ask the group

Losing both at the same time is suspicious and may be a ground issue?

There are two separate wires on two separate pins on the back of the gauge pod, so that would be a dual simultaneous failure - not likely. As for ground, the two lamps share a common ground along with the illumination lighting and high beam indicator in the gauge pod. Does the illumination work? If so, ground is also unlikely. Unfortunately, the failures get less likely from there. Both signal wires splice into the lines that go to the outside lights on the dash harness side of the connector to the turn signal switch, so if the outside lights work that eliminates the switch and other wiring as possible causes, which only leaves the two wires into the gauge pod (light and dark blue), the pins on the circuit board, the bulbs themselves, or the ground strap to the dash.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I posted about a ground issue but wasn't sure what else would be inop if that strap was loose.

My first thought was the bulbs may be burned out but losing both at the same time seemed unlikely.

Thanks ! I realized the right one was working occasionally and the left just quit so I likely have the bulbs failing . I'll remove the pod and check it

Thanks again
