battery drain

My 84 Olds Royale Brougham keeps draining the battery when I drive. I drive to work and then turn the key and no go. Its a new battery, the alternator checked out good. When I touch the batt cable to the post there is no spark.

Pull the dome light/courtesy fuse.
Disconnect a battery cable.
Place an old school, actual test light with a bulb in series between the battery and the disconnected cable. If it lights, there is a draw. Pull and replace fuses until the light goes out. Troubleshoot that circuit.
If the light does not light, the problem is in the courtesy circuit (dome light, lighter, radio memory).

How was the alternator tested? Alternator belt in good shape?

x2 what Fleming said

You also need to make sure your battery cables are in good condition with no mashed terminals, split jackets or green corrosion.
