Another wiper motor/switch problem

Hi all I replaced my washer and switch last year. Wipers, washer and switch worked fine. Recently my original wiper motor gave up the ghost. I bought and installed a new one. Did not bench test since the tag said don't as the factory set is in the park position. All went well..the wipers worked great at both high and low speeds. Happy! Then I tried the washer. Didn't work and the wipers stopped, in the park position. Checked fuse, ok; checked power supply to both wiper motor and washer, ok, ignition switch on. Disconnected washer..no luck. Checked switch for proper ground and mount. Could a reversed harness connection cause this, and if so did I ruin the motor? I have a diagram that I followed in the past that shows how to check the motor using jumpers on the three tabs. I am NO GOOD at solving electrical problems!! Any help?
Thanks!

Did the washer come new w/ a locating pin to be removed AFTER mounting the washer motor onto the wiper assembly. Or did you put the original washer on the new wiper? The washer could be installed out of sync. & jamming the mechanism. I once installed a washer motor & forgot to remove that pin. Was a mess when I turned it on. Had to redo everything.
