Alternator Part number listing

Hi.

Does anybody have access to or know of an Oldsmobile or all GM inclusive alternator part number list with application that goes from about 1965 to 1990?

I have one Brothers Auto Products by Steve Kenny published many moons ago that is titled: Oldsmobile 1960-1972 V8 Alternator Usage by Application. It is very informative.

I was looking for something that might go a little bit newer like 1973 to 1990....

Any ideas?

What is your actual question? If you are looking for a drop-in, higher amperage, internal regulator alternator, there are two really easy choices. The first is the 94A 12SI used on the mid-1980s Cadillac Fleetwood with Olds 307 motor. This bolts directly to your existing alternator brackets. You'll need to make the wiring mods for a 12SI alternator. The second choice is the 105A CS130 used on the 1989-90 Olds Custom Cruiser with 307. This is also a direct bolt-in with your existing brackets. It also requires wiring mods. Either of these is available at RockAuto for under $100.

No. Absolutely not. I don’t know why it is any more that you can’t ask about wanting a list to find the CORRECT numbered date coded part without somebody trying to modify it. Does everything have to be modified or (another word I hate) upgraded? I swear if the words upgraded and modified were taken out of the car hobby, folks outside would think we were mutes.

That is a reasonable answer. I forgot to look there. Thank you for the reminder.

that doesn't sound like you want the CORRECT numbered date coded part. The mind reading thing STILL isn't working.
A less ambiguous question might have been "does someone have a list of factory alternator part numbers that covers model years 1973-1990?"

And if you want the CORRECT factory numbers, they are in the factory parts book.
