Angry 71 vert electrical issues

Headlight switch pulled half way - no front park lights. Tail lights and side marker lights both work.

Headlight switch pulled fully - no taillights or side marker lights. Headlights work both on low and hi beam.

No turn signals either front or rear. Checked both with and without other lights on and nothing.

No license plate light.

Everything else electrical works fine

NEED HELP FROM THE WIRING GURU'S

Only thing I know that is not original to the car is the tilt steering column - may have come out of an A body Chevy ? Could some of the wiring be different ?

Thanks

I've given this one some thought, and I've got to say I'm stumped.

You have three separate power supplies here into a number of different locations, and I can't come up with a common factor that would cause your symptoms.

You have the TAIL fuse, which supplies power to the taillights AND the parking lights (as well as the license plate light).
You have the DIR SIG BACK UP fuse, which supplies power to the signal lights.
You have the big red hot wire, which supplies power to the headlights, and has nothing to do with taillights or signals.

The tail and parking lights are switched on in both the PARK and HEADLIGHT positions, and are fed from the same terminal of the switch, so they are not controlled separately.

All A-body columns from your year range should be identical, as far as I know.

Is there any chance that someone swapped in an earlier headlight switch, which switches the parking lights separately?

I would recommend troubleshooting this from scratch.
Check power in and out of each fuse.
Check power in and out of the headlight switch (two separate sources), and in and out of the signal light flasher.
Check power out of the headlight switch on each circuit.
Check that all bulbs are correct (signal and taillight bulbs should be dual-filament), and are inserted properly, and that all bulbs and sockets are clean.

You might also want to check your brake lights, as they are powered by a fourth separate circuit.

Once you have done all of this, you should have either found the problem, or come darned close.

Let us know...

Possibly, I don't have a schematic handy, the signal stat? The license plate lamp is probably blown separate.
