68 442' radio antenna in windshield.

Putting a windshield into a 68' with the antenna built in. Does anyone have a picture of the routing of a 69' so I can see where to drill the hole for the wire. This is the short lead from the glass with 2 screw holes into it.

Thanks for any help. I would like to have it drilled and ready to go before the glass is installed.

'69 did not have an antenna in the glass. That started in '70 or '71.

I did exactly this swap back in the mid-70s. You need the lead-in cable, which it sounds like you have.

That lead-in cable mounts under the rectangular hole shown here.

Thank you Joe and Yellow.

Is that rectangle in the picture photoshopped or is it actually cut into the cowl? I can't tell from the picture and it wouldn't make any sense to me that it is cut.

It's punched into the cowl on the 70-72 cars - that photo is of a 1970. I'll have to go check my earlier cars.

Thank you.
I almost always search before I post and I'm coming up with some olders pictures and info that it's nothing new. Since It's not original I will try to hide it the best I can.
