Cutlass Windshield Antenna - Please Help

I have welded the antenna hole in my 68 Cutlass and I'm going to install a windshield from a 70-72 with the antenna in the glass. I have purchased the antenna lead to go from the windshield to the stereo. Can anyone tell me where to drill the hole in the cowl for the lead to go through? I would like to mount it like the factory did. Some pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob

I did exactly this swap on a 68 442 that I owned years ago. The lead-in wire goes right at the center of the windshield, about an inch or so below the lower channel. I'll go check the exact location on a 71 parts car I have once the temperature warms up (it's 9 deg and blowing right now).

I merged your two identical threads. Typically, you'll get more useful responses if they are all in one thread and everyone can see each other's posts. Good luck.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Joe, a close-up picture of your '71 parts car would really help, when it warms up!

Thank you, Bob
