67 CS Brake Light Issue

I have a 1967 CS Holiday Coupe. I have intermittent issues with brake lights and turn indicators. They all work most of the time, but none of them ever seem to work all of the time. I suspect this is a ground issue, so my question is:

If I purchase new light sockets for all 4 lights in the back, should I go for the sockets that have an independent ground, or should go for the ones that use the metal socket as the ground?

Thanks!

Grounds can be an issue. I use those teethy grounding washers on all things that are electrical so they get an extra bite to ground. Some light sockets get worn and become loose over time. I have had the same issues in the past with my 67. I also use dilectric grease on all the bulbs. If you get the new sockets that you ground separately it is kind of a pain but you will be making sure they are grounded. That is not a bad idea in my opinion. New bulbs and making sure all contacts are good. Weather tight and secure is smart.

Just my 2 cents
