66' Toro wiring diagram

Good day all,

Looking for some input. I've spent a significant amount of time trying to interpret the brake light wiring for my 66' Toronado and I've come to the conclusion that the wiring diagram must be wrong. In the diagram, there are 6 brake lights, 5 of which run off the LH signal light feed. Am I missing something? Seems to me that if this wiring diagram is correct, when you turn the LH signal lights on you should get every light, minus one, coming on in the back. Also, if you turn on the RH signal light, you'll get one light only coming on in the back.

The area I've highlighted in Indigo. It shows all but one light runs off the LH signal light feed. Also, there is a missing connection on the black and white wire. It stops at the last connector and doesn't connect to the brake lights.

You are correct, that is an error in the diagram. It should be three bulbs on each wire. That little "connection to nowhere" to the left of the leftmost bulb is also in error.

Phew, ok thanks Joe. Thought I was losing it there for a minute.

I later saw that the 67' Toro wiring diagram appears to have the correct wiring depicted. Well, it looks logical to me at least. I assume this is what they should have shown the 66' as?

Except the 66 did not have the emergency flashers.

Interesting that even the 1967 wiring diagram has the "connection to nowhere" on the left of the bulbs. Likely a "cut and paste" artifact - back when you really did cut and paste!

True, but that has no effect on the tail light wiring. The difference is built into the turn signal switch and the upstream wiring from there to the hazard flasher module.
