I'll bet you're happy you didn't go through the 6C-13 test of the TCS switch.

Good deal.

Personally, I'd remove it (store for future posterity), plug the manifold water port, remove all the extra hose, stow the plug, and just connect the distributor to manifold vacuum.

Eric - That is exactly what I did - untwisted it plus wrapped the leads in e tape.
Norm - Years ago I did have to go thru the 6C-13 when I thought then found out my DVCV was not working. At the time it did not increase the idle when the temp rose to a certain level (can't remember what temp any longer) . So I went thru the test and replaced it, and it's been working ever since - that is until some bonehead squished the resistor together and caused a short. But you are correct - glad I didn't have to do it tonight.

Thanks Guys - I appreciate all the help.

dougherp - Glad you found it, good work! Sorry for the incorrect troubleshooting info!

old cutlass - Thank you for pointing out that a bulb, solenoid coil etc. would show continuity to ground...didn't think of it. Sincerely appreciate the education!

Good luck!!!
