1971 P/T switch help

1971 P/T switch help
Picked up a 71 convert. The switch is missing dont see the wires. Found switch in glove box. Where would i start? what would I have to tear down to access the wires/ replace switch

To get to where you can see if the wires for the switch are still there your best bet would to be to remove the bezel for the instruments and then remove the gas gauge/idiot light. That would also get you to the back part of the dash where you could remount a switch.
My guess is if the switch is in the glovebox you have bigger problems - either a cooked switch, cooked motor, or a short somewhere.

Ok, so i found the connector. Pluged in the switch, nothing. I hooked up my power probe and it operated the top for few seconds then popped the breaker. I jumped out the connector and the top moves very slow, I stopped so I didnt damage anything, guess the motor is shot?
