1970 442 A/C wiring diagram

Then to be honest you're out of luck. I as well as others have posted the A/C wiring schematic elsewhere on this site. I think I posted the 1971 diagram which I think is identical to 1970. Have you tried a search?

I can't find my A/C wiring schematic anywhere. Perhaps more explanation of what you're attempting to troubleshoot/accomplish we might get you more information. I guess you're convinced it's electrical, but are you sure it's specific to the A/C or is it possible the blower motor is involved?

Is the blower fan operational at all? IOW, does the blower fan engage when set to heat? Or, is it possible the blower fan is in fact operational but you're attempting to wire in the new A/C into the blower fan? If the latter is the case, is the A/C system an OEM A/C system or VintageAir, etc.?

OK. I'm not going to tell you I'm an expert on hooking up your A/C. I've been in it, done some troubleshooting, etc. yet...did you review the link I sent to you on the blower wiring?
Do you have power at Number 8 wire? Checked the 30 AMP fuse?

OK So, those diagrams I provided demonstrate power to the blower fan assembly/system. If the blower fan is not operational, I would think you need to resolve the issue of why the blower is non-operational in the heating mode to at least validate you can get the blower operational. Sorta providing you a patch to troubleshoot (hopefully).

Viewing your 1970 fuse panel (below link) demonstrates the first fuse (25 AMP) contains both the AC & Heater...that's a great place to start anyways.

Here's the 1970 wiring diagram from the 1970 CSM. It's very readable. Don't forget you can zoom into the diagram with your browser to make it more legible or d/l the diagram and use a program to zoom in. Others will likely chime in at some point & provide additional suggestions.

My intent here wasn't to demonstrate any A/C wiring, but instead demonstrate at a minimum the fuse panel wiring and heater circuit to the blower fan since the OP stated he has no blower fan in the heat mode. Coupled w/ the Fig 1C-6 I was hoping to impart a basic overview to validate power w/in that circuit (maybe?).

I would like to say THANK YOU to all for your guidance .
Problem solved it was the a/c fan speed switch that was bad
A bit of a challenge changing it but it is done
Again thanks to all
