95 Aurora

The other day i changed the TPS.Turned key to on position and heard a clicking noise.I started the car and didnt see a difference. The service engine light came on.I put the old sensor back in.Drove the car later and now it doesnt go into overdrive.Never had a problem before changing the sensor. My scanner wouldnt link to the computer.Took it to the dealer, and there having same problem linking to computer. Is there a fuse that would be blown to cause car not to go into overdrive??The module was changed not to long before i bought the car.Any Help??

What module was changed before you bought the car? Do you have the receipt?

95 was a transition year for GM to OBD 2. I replaced the ECM on my 93 Buick LeSabre years ago and it drove and shifted fine afterwards. Have you tried disconnecting the battery overnight?
