A/C or non-A/C, since the alternators are in different places?

Alternator is on the driver side with A/C and on the passenger side without.

If no one knows the length of the wire, would anyone have a picture of the correct routing?

Thanks for the picture of the layout..

I assume that is a picture of an externally regulated model because of the connector location on back?

It looks like a taped harness.. Is the charging wire in that loom just for cable managrment? Meaning individual wire straight from the post on alternator to the horn relay?

Yes, the wire runs directly from the BAT post on the alternator to the horn relay. The harness is wrapped with plastic tape (non-adhesive) to simplify installation on the assembly line.

Joe

If i decide to change the engine and headlight harnesses, does that cover most of the engine compartment besides the A/C?

The engine and forward lamp harnesses cover all base equipment functions in the engine compartment. The HVAC harness is separate, and obviously power accessories have their own dedicated harnesses.
