1961 Olds 88 Clock Repair

Has anyone ever repaired their clock? My clock has a burnt solenoid coil and resistor. The rest of the clock works fine. I was wondering if the coil could be repaired by a TV repair shop or If anyone has a clock that is all pitted up but the coil is good for sale. I can send it out to Clock Works to get repaired but before I kick out $150 I thought I would check here first.

Thanks
Pat

You can get repair kits for the innards. There are quartz conversion kits sold by various companies. I think someone has mentioned the name of these companies on our website in the past. I will do some reasearch this weekend on my home computer.

Check out Clocks and Gauges in Roscoe Illinois.I purchased a Quartz conversion it was inexpensive and thier customer service is excellent. It is a do it yourself kit.
I had questions and they were right there to walk me through it.
