Starting to plan purchase/rebuild of my favorite car growing up

1. Does the standard cross member have humps to allow for true dual exhaust?
If not, is there an aftermarket piece or swap from other GM model?

2. If I can't find a Holiday 88, do consoles, seats, etc. from Cutlass bolt in?

3. How difficult is it to swap in a hi performance small block chevy crate engine?

4. Anybody ever converted to a 5 or 6-speed manual trans?

Nope. The 1994-96 Impala SS crossmember is a double hump and will fit the earlier cars. In fact, the chassis is pretty much the same from 1977-1996.


A 455 Olds is a much easier swap, as it is just about a bolt-in.
